Gamification adds game-design elements such as cards, tokens, points, or social interaction to a task to make it engaging and enjoyable and encourage participation. In healthcare, gamification can help us introduce emotionally sensitive topics like advance care planning, and motivate behavior changes like engaging in advance care planning discussions or completing advance directives. Join us to learn about advance care planning games that are generating discussions and outcomes in engaging the public, and how you might use gamification to foster conversations in your community. We will review and discuss games including Hello, Go Wish, and The Death Deck.
