Off from #AdultESOL this weekend --- between terms --- but my class is full! Can't wait to start working with this new group of wonderful students.

Proctored SAT testing yesterday. Always not fun, but at least the computer version guides the students with timing and I don't have to watch the clock as closely.

Working on some cool #cryptography pages for my #NeoCities site. Also need to update my main personal pages with my #FluxDocApps --- I have 13 ready to go.

#Linux #ESL #ESOL

Haven't posted much recently because fairly busy with end of #AdultESOL term (papers to grade!), the new / next #CyberSecurity class (network security, so deals with actual #tech, not bureaucracy).

Also, we switched #ISPs when we had a new option that was cheaper and about 200x faster. I think we are finally close to speeds we had in #Japan 20 years ago.

ISP #Router interface not great; they want you to use a phone app. Both have fewer features and worse gui than the 10yo one we replaced.

Sunday #AdultESOL class already cancelled. We'll have class Sat morning, but not sure how many students will be there.

Lots of debate about if we'll have 2 or 3 days of #K12 #education next M-F (some votes for only 1 day, also).

Yoshiko took off #Japanese #food (#sushi) work Sunday --- they'll probably end up closing anyhow, and we live farther from her work than most of her coworkers. Driving = no fun, Sunday.

Happy #Snowmageddon, #Ohio

finished final assignment for #CyberSecurity class. Next up (starting in January) is "CYSC-630 Information Risk Management". I'm worried because it is about 6 weeks but 4 graduate level credit hours. Will I sleep?

Good news, though: #AdultESOL class ended last weekend. #K-12 classes ended last Thursday (aka the day before yesterday). As of 19:50 today, I am officially completely and totally on break for the next two weeks.

#vacation

Second #k12 snow day this month, third if you count yesterday for my weekend #AdultESOL job. Only three days of classes with students this week, then #WinterBreak.

We have a long list of things to get done during the break; we'll get a head start on them today.

Need to prep for classes (#ESOL and #CyberSecurity); update some writings; and make some videos for #teacher #EducationalResources.

Off this weekend and next; we're between #AdultESOL terms. Class for next term is full, so looking forward to that starting up.

Yoshiko took today off, so we're going to have a fun day of doing stuff around the house, taking it easy, maybe running a few errands, walking the dogs, and #cooking.

I have a backlog of #YoshikosKitchen pics to post here. Will have more by tonight and will try to post some today or tomorrow.

(also doing: encfs => gocryptfs and #CyberSecurity homework)

Wow. All the big packages updating on my #Gentoo #Linux box. Been about 20 hours, 165 of 201 completed.

That's what I get for not updating for about 10 days.

Oh, and encfs is depreciated and going bye-bye. Luckily I have next weekend off and will have some time to switch all my local backups to #GoCryptFS.

I need to submit my workbook to the print shop for next #AdultESOL term.

#CyberSecurity class starts tomorrow.

International dinner at school in two weeks.

I'll sleep when I'm dead.

#AdultESOL term is winding down --- four classes left, 3 of them tests. So, lots of grading coming up. Need to prep the material booklet for the next term and send it to the print shop soon.

#HispanicHeritageMonth starts tomorrow (9/15), so will be busy with that a bit at #K12 #school this week.

Just redid my UPS configuration on #Gentoo #Linux. Love Gentoo, but sometimes having to do so much config'ing by hand can be a lot.

Now to update and backup the other computers.

Just about time for the final #AdultESOL class of the summer term. Great students, fun classes. Next weekend off, and then start the cycle again with a new group of 20 adult #immigrants #EnglishLearners

Also, go back to #k12 #ESOL (#ESL) job in early August. Looking forward to another year of working with new and returning English Learners (and their families) there, too.

The #CyberSecurity class (to teach college level to #HighSchool students) ends in about 2 weeks. Next starts in September.

#k-12 school year for teachers ended last week. My year ends tomorrow. New term of #AdultESOL / #AdultESL starts (for me) on Saturday.

#CyberSecurity class started last week. So far, so good. Pretty interesting. For this #CollegeCreditPlus program, I have to do 1 class in the fall, 2 in the spring, and the final one next summer. While working 60 hours a week. Not looking forward to that spring term at all.

Luckily, I've listened to #SecurityNow with @SGgrc for over 10 years.
