Sie zeigen, wie problematisch die Pfade sind, von denen sich der östereichische Staat, der die OMV kontrolliert, jetzt noch abhängiger macht: Die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate, denen über die XRG 24,9% der OMV-Anteile und in Zukunft die Hälfte der Anteile an der Chemiefirma Bourouge International gehören werden, sind ein autoritär und brutal regiertes Land, unter ethischen Gesichtspunkten genauso zu verurteilen wie der OMV-Expartner Russland. Die Plastikindustrie, in der Bourouge International als globaler Player agieren wird, hat ökologisch und sozial nicht weniger katastrophale Folgen als das Verbrennen von Öl und Gas, mit denen die OMV und die Emirate bisher das meiste Geld machen.
