My current crusade is to make the #FirstFriday of every month the day we all show our gratitude and support for our instance operators.

#BigSocial was sucking the life out of us. 100% extractive. Like a leech on our soul.

The #fediverse is additive. It is what we make it. We need to build practices to get in the habit of making it awesome for each other.

Here, if we do it right, we can have #ContributorCulture.

Let’s start a monthly tradition where we send them lunch, buy them a drink, or chip in a few bucks to keep the lights on.

In our decentralized future, every group of friends or special interest community is going to have its own instance.
