Puerto Rico’s solar-powered village
Divided into 17 barrios, Adjuntas sits within Puerto Rico’s Cordillera Central mountain range and is home to 18,000 people, various Taino petroglyphs, several coffee plantations, and Casa Pueblo.
For years, Puerto Ricans have faced high electricity costs and regular blackouts. The town of #Adjuntas, in the central mountains, boasts the island’s first community-owned solar #microgrid.

Roasted a batch of coffee from #Adjuntas #PuertoRico yesterday in my gas grill franken-roaster. The whole house smells divine.
If you've never tried it, dive in. It's not that hard despite what the Internet says. I learned from a Dominican woman who showed me how to roast it in a skillet on the stove.
