I canโt believe itโs already been a year since Snowy passed away, I miss her so much every day! As far as Iโm aware, she still doesnโt have an onsite memorial at Adelaide Zoo, despite her unique appearance and impact.

I dedicate this special video to Snow White "Snowy" the Meerkat, who passed away on 31st October. As a meerkat enthusiast who spent years dreaming of meeting her in-person before finally being able to last year, the news of her death was heartbreaking. Took a trip to Adelaide Zoo today with my mum and sister who are over visiting from the UK. Didn't take many photos but here are a few of them.
Happy #World_Meerkat_Day! ๐ Back in late May, I was able to fulfill my 3-year-long dream to visit Snowy, the world's only #white_meerkat! Her pale complexion was caused by #vitiligo, the onset of which occurred when she was 2 years old. Apart from needing more sun protection and becoming less active in her old age, Snowy remains a healthy member and dominant of her group! ๐ค
