Trying to get Vyvanse approved again.

I took Adderall XR yesterday. I staved off the cotton mouth by drinking lots of water, but I'd forgotten about the "come down" I experience when it wears off. I feel depressed and angry for no reason for a few hours. I don't like it. Crying about being ugly and unloved while surrounded by adoring cats is just wrong.

My insomnia is terrible even when I'm not taking a stimulant so I'm willing to try something else.

How y'all feeling about Vyvanse?

#ADHD #AdderallXR #Vyvanse

I haven't been taking any medication for my #ADHD because I also have #insomnia and #AdderallXR was making it worse.
I'm currently assigned to 4 projects at work plus my regular daily stuff. I need assistance so I don't get so stressed out I just watch YouTube videos on my phone.
I asked about #Vyvanse which my PCP prescribed last week but, due to shortages, it cannot be filled.
So I broke out the bottle of Adderall XR I still have and took one this morning.
I forgot how thirsty they make me. They dehydrate the heck out of me.

Anyway, my doctor said I should just try non-XR #Adderall but I wanted to try Vyvanse first. I may have to just to go regular Adderall if they can't fill Vyvanse, but I've heard there is also a shortage of Adderall.
So.
I may be stuck with nothing to take at all and just spinning in my chair while cackling.

I have a lot to get done this week at work. Training, training, and a bi-weekly report and only 4 days after the Monday holiday. Also, two of the people who would normally help are out of the office.

I haven't been taking anything for my ADHD for a couple of months due to the side effects and it's hard to get everything done for a normal week.
So I took one of my Adderall XR yesterday (and again today). It definitely helped me at work, but it also means I only got 5 hours of sleep last night and had to get up to pee three times instead of just one. I was like "oh, yeah - that's why I stopped taking it."

I was on #Temazepam for a couple of years for #insomnia. I quit taking it at the end of February. I think I'm finally sleeping normally again. I was back on track this previous weekend and by next week, I should be caught up.
My insomnia was mostly caused by #Anxiety. My inability to stay asleep was due to undiagnosed #SleepApnea. Now that I am wearing a machine for that, I sleep through the night.
I have been given the tools I need to manage my anxiety enough to get some sleep by a Sleep Psychiatrist. She's given me pointers to stop the thinking spiral when it starts. I just have to remember to use them. It's like #CBT lite (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - not the other meaning).
As for the #ADHD, I had side-effects from #AdderallXR and side effects from #Strattera. I'm going to wing it for a couple of months. I can already feel a big difference at work. It is so difficult for me to stay on task or pay attention in meetings where I'm not presenting. If I listen to music while working, it is much easier for me to stay on task. What other tips do y'all unmedicated #ADHD folks have?
Anyway, I feel more like myself. I feel calmer and more in control, even though my mind is a wandering wreck sometimes.
