I was on
#Temazepam for a couple of years for
#insomnia. I quit taking it at the end of February. I think I'm finally sleeping normally again. I was back on track this previous weekend and by next week, I should be caught up.
My insomnia was mostly caused by
#Anxiety. My inability to
stay asleep was due to undiagnosed
#SleepApnea. Now that I am wearing a machine for that, I sleep through the night.
I have been given the tools I need to manage my anxiety enough to get some sleep by a Sleep Psychiatrist. She's given me pointers to stop the thinking spiral when it starts. I just have to remember to use them. It's like
#CBT lite (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - not the other meaning).
As for the
#ADHD, I had side-effects from
#AdderallXR and side effects from
#Strattera. I'm going to wing it for a couple of months. I can already feel a big difference at work. It is so difficult for me to stay on task or pay attention in meetings where I'm not presenting. If I listen to music while working, it is much easier for me to stay on task. What other tips do y'all unmedicated
#ADHD folks have?
Anyway, I feel more like myself. I feel calmer and more in control, even though my mind is a wandering wreck sometimes.
