Hab jetzt seit einer ganzen Weile Pi-Hole laufen, zuerst auf meinem kleinen Mini-PC, der direkt an der FritzBox hängt und im LAN als Server-fûr-alles dient, inzwischen auch auf einem zweiten Mini-PC. Beide sind als DNS in der FritzBox eingetragen und nutzen selbst Unbound, um Domain Names aufzulösen (mit DNSSEC).

Per Wireguard kann ich Pi-Hole auch nutzen, wenn mein Smartphone mobile Daten nutzt, es verbindet sich dann mit der FritzBox.

Pi-Hole leistet als Ad-Blocker sehr gute Dienste und blockt den Zugriff auf zahllose Ad-Server. Der zweite Pi-Hole ist vor allem für den Fall gedacht, dass der erste Pi-Hole offline geht, etwa für ein Backup.

Bin sehr zufrieden. Was mir zuerst nicht klar war: ich brauche keinen Raspberry-Pi für Pi-Hole. Es werkelt problemlos auf zwei bestehenden Linux-PCs. Die von ihnen verursachte Systemlast ist sehr gering.

Unbound als DNS ist eine sinnvolle Ergänzung zum Pi-Hole. Und mittels Wireguard kann ich es sozusagen mitnehmen, wenn ich unterwegs bin und mobile Daten nutze.

how do you stop all these "i see you're using an ad blocker" pop ups? i urgently need to know

i am NEVER buying anything or signing up for anything from a pop up & all this miserable blinking in front of things & interfering with my vision just needs to stop

What is the immediate red flag on a website that makes you hit close tab instantly, no matter how much you wanted to read the content?

For me: It is the "Please disable your Ad Blocker" overlay that blurs the text. I will simply never read your article. Goodbye.
