My posts on Mastodon say that no one is permitted to quote-boosts my posts — yet I never made that choice.
(I'm actually OK with others quote-boosting my posts.)
I know enough to be aware this.
Most aren't.
A very large number of people have no idea that someone else made this choice for them.
I suspect the vast majority of them would have chosen the opposite.
I think Mastodon should have represented "user has not chosen" in the JSON-LD.
On preparation to delete my x/twitter account, I was planning to put my whole twit history in a #mastodon archive account, but that would be unfair for the instance hosting it.
So, I will try to convert the #twitter dumped data into #activitiypub created notes just for fun, and hosting it in my site. Kind of a read-only timeline.
Would somebody be interested in watching this live? I can setup a stream to code for fun this part.
So, fellow butterfles, remember when I mentioned Friendica yesterday? Instances running the latest version let you post to ActivityPub, the in-house DFRN protocol, and ATProto. You'll have to give it access to a preëxisting BSky account but there you go.

What I'm doing right now about moderation, is raising awareness. We need a protocol evolution to improve moderation. The question is: What will the result be? Will it still be ActivityPub or will we transition to ATProto and its philosophy?
