That moment when you need to restore 70GB of data due to catastrophic hw failure. #Synology #ActiveBackupForBusiness to the rescue. 🛟
Been testing the #macOS27 for a while today, and indeed it all works as intended for all my most common apps. Also the #10G network issue that happened from time to time is gone and the Mini behaves as it did on 15.7.
Pixelmator Pro, Forklift, Mattermost, Things, and other random apps all work just fine.
Also, with the new LS settings, it doesn't feel like this OS has any Liquid effects if a user chooses so.
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ so far!

So far, all works. In terms of #Synology #ActiveBackupForBusiness, being an Intel-based client, Rosetta 2 is needed. This will be fine for version 27, but will not work with macOS28 in the future when this method will be deprecated.
Also, the corners and UI fixes make this version less cartoony and more like Sequoia.
Still not perfect, depending on the app, but its a question is this a 3rd party implementation issue or a missing "system-wide" tweak
Using Synology Active Backup for Business with VMware vSphere/ESXi

Time to test the new #Synology #ActiveBackupforBusiness 3.2 platform following yesterday rollout, bringing more than a few fixes, as well as a handful of new features
What is the most often situation that you need to restore a file from #backup? For me, accidental changes.
I opened an older file and completely forgot to rename/duplicate it before I started editing. After 2h, I saved the changes under a new file name, but the original was already changed due to autosave.
#Synology #ActiveBackupForBusiness to the rescue! ABB restored the file back onto my scratch drive in seconds.
It's not a question of "if", but "when" will you need it!
