I’m standing in a long line for #RecordStoreDay, and there’s a patron with a dead car battery. He got a jump pack from the dealership across the street, hooked it up, and nothing.

The twenty-somethings in line behind me had a lot to say amongst each other. They commented about it. They said their friend who wants to be a mechanic should go help. They talked about the time one of them couldn’t start their car.

What did I do? I walked up and helped the guy. (The jumper cables were on, but making poor contact.)

Don’t just talk about doing things. Do things.
