I’m not a vegetarian, so I’m not doing enough to combat animal suffering. But images like that shouldn’t be the exception. In nature, it’s also about eating and being eaten. But agriculture could ensure that animals do have a good life before they are used for consumption. Years ago, I also came across a similar old-fashioned scene where a whole bunch of pigs were roaming around freely and happily, and it was a fantastic sight to behold. Pigs are highly intelligent animals and interact very socially with one another when they have that freedom! Of course, I took a few photos. I’ll have a look for them and share them with the world ;)

Armut gilt in der Forschung als wichtige Ursache für Einsamkeit. Mangelnde finanzielle Ressourcen führen zur sozialen Isolation. Plakativ formuliert: Pfandsammeln mag für Lebensmittel ausreichen, nicht jedoch für den gemeinsamen Besuch von Kino und Café.
Betroffene befinden sich in Teufelskreisen aus Stigmatisierungsformen. Sowohl Einsamkeit selbst, als auch Armut werden gesellschaftlich mit Scham besetzt. Wir beschäftigen uns ungerne damit, unser Blick flieht, wir möchten damit nicht konfrontiert werden. Folglich werden diese sozialen Probleme im Sozialen und Politischen verdrängt.
Doch Einsamkeit findet nicht im Verborgenen statt, sondern dort wo nicht hingesehen wird. Ein Foto läd dazu ein genau hinzusehen und sich mit dem abgelichteten Menschen zu beschäftigen. Fotographie kann entwürdigend inszenieren, doch Würde verlieren Menschen durch gesellschaftlich geschaffene Realitäten. Ich hoffe dieses Bild ist nicht entwürdigend, die Person unkenntlich genug.
