It finally occured to me, I couldn't find many decent Australian region specific foraging guides is because it probably isn't called "urban foraging" or anything like that.
It's called "Bush Tucker" because duh!
Aboriginal Australians have been doing this for centuries.
Idk the term for it bc of the vast amount of cultural groups n dialects.
But yet another consequent of colonisation and cultural erasure.
It's a term a barely hear, I only remember hearing about it in primary school camp when we had a bush safety talk. :/

Maybe like me, you too might have seen claims that the Aboriginal Welcome to Country, Acknowledgement of Country and smoking ceremonies are not authentic. The story goes that they are fake ceremonies of recent invention designed to make money.
