"Harass, confound, confuse, derange, and incommode them" is how eggheads say "fuck them up". The OSS was overwhelming composed of WASP males with higher educations. Of *course* they talked like that. That's who they were.
FWIW, I can say "egghead" and not be offensive because I *are* one.
We the woke have faults, too. Among them is our regrettable tendency to focus on dysphemc buzzwords at the expense of the rest of the story. They trigger us like Pavlov's bell. It gives us tunnel vision. We miss a lot of shit this way. Better we should focus on what people do. What they say is only part of what they do.
Today even racists know when not to use the N-word in public. They're still the same assholes but they're learning to read the room. Racists are learning manners. That's some progress, anyway.
But what about #ableists? Casual ableist speech is as common as it is offensive, and not just among normies. If you're disabled, this is obvious. If you're not disabled, you've probably never even thought about it. But that's changing. Even Democrats are waking up."
