Fascists don't have the wherewithal to know if they're closing parks (during peak covid) or expanding them, so they do both to maximize inefficiency and costs.

FYI AB Parks has been grossly underfunded by the anti-environment UCP so all AB parks need maintenance and upkeep because they are now degraded. The UCP also cancelled the Bighorn Wildland Park that would've protected the headwaters of the North Saskatchewan river...because coal.

The fascist UCP are scrambling to win back public opinion. They can fuck off.

I should point out that this memo was dated Sept 10, so clearly this plan has been in the works for a while. The Teachers strike was likely just the UCP government being forced to play their hand a little sooner than they anticipated.
