2) And the icing on the cake was the 1:0 victory over Serbia in the #Euro2024 .

Now all the guests have gone home and the house is quite peaceful and very empty.

1) I survived the #aaseetriathlon in #Bocholt 💪 . We all did quite well, except for my sister-in-law who got rammed by another cyclist who wasn't looking where he was going & she ended up in hospital with scrapes and bruises.
Actually I was very pleased.15 mins for the swim (felt like I swallowed gallons of water) - & the water wasn't too cold, 38 mins for the #bike ride and 28 mins for the #running Of course it rained, but tbh I didn't care 😃.
Came first in my age class 🏆

It's The Weekend when I get a house full of family guests, mostly from the UK. Tomorrow is the #aaseetriathlon and the weather forecast is pretty grim. I am still hoping I can swim 500m in open water which is bound to be cold.
Like the rest of my crazy family I'm doing the sprint, which, in #Bocholt, is 500m swim, 20km #bike and 5k #running.

Their journey through the Netherlands was slowed by volumes of #euro2024 fan traffic.

Looking forward to the #aaseeTriathlon in #Bocholt on the 16th June. Most of the family is coming over, ostensibly to take part, but really so we can all meet up. Have to borrow some mattresses from the neighbours and put a couple of tents up in the garden😂 . We‘ll have 13 people in the house - that‘s 11 guests!
