The Shrine of Mary in Aachen Cathedral is a reliquary completed in 1239, which (allegedly) contains the swaddling clothes and loincloth of Jesus, the dress of Mary, and the cloth used to cover the head of John the Baptist after his beheading.

The cathedral in Aachen consists of several sections, each of which was built at different times ranging from the early Middle Ages to the late modern era. The foundation stone was laid around 795. The first mosaics were added in 997, but most were added between 1902 and 1913 in a neo-Byzantine style.
