In blanket news, I have completed three rows of my temperature blanket so have celebrated by starting a granny square for Kaleidoscope. This blanket is going to go on my bed once it’s done. But I’ve realised I have been reading UK terms but stitching US style 🤦♀️ I like it though… I’m going to need more yarn 🤣
I’ve also made some progress on the Beekepers Quilt and knit my third hexipuff whilst getting the car cleaned. 💜

I’m still just about ahead… I’m knitting Feb 16th today. I missed two or three nights of knitting this week. One of them I was sewing in ends. Another I was reading applications for interviewees (my first time conducting an interview - it was weird being on the other side of the table!). But it’s set me back a little.
I bought a new blanket pattern today by Janie Crow called the Magic Lantern Blanket. She is donating all proceeds from it to DEC until tomorrow. #AYYKCAL23 @knitting @crochet
Today I learnt that I can knit a whole hexipuff during a kids party. That’ll be me volunteering to take the smalls to all their future parties then 😂 where have you been knitting your blankets? Have you stuck to the sofa, or taken them further afield?

i knit socks 90% of my #knitting time so there is always remains and about ten years ago i decided to make a blanket with them - i often forget about it for months if i concentrate on it i would have more progress but as a sidequest it’s ok to be my #UFO forever 🙃

Obv I’m talking about knitting!! I’ve been working on my Triangulum temp blanket and have almost finished January. I’ve had a little taste of my Beekeepers Quilt due to forgetting my data journal when I stayed at my parents last night… but I’m wondering about another blanket: The Kaleidoscope. I’ve bought the yarn. Do I cast on and alternate or stay faithful and finish one first? What would you do?
Hi everyone, how are you getting on with the #AYYKCAL23 ? I’ve completed the first row of the Triangulum blanket and have started coming back on myself. That means I’ve got a few completed hexagons now. The technique for tightening the centre is inspired and so satisfying!
My furry companion, Diesel, has been keeping me company as it’s far too wet for him outside! Have you got any knitting companions?

I’m making the Triangulum blanket first. Each triangle is a different day in 2021. They each have a grey border, then the internal triangles show the hottest and coldest daily temps.

I’ve had a little break from finding new blanket patterns… partly cos I’ve had Covid and have been knackered, but also cos I now have three on my list (complete with yarn bought) to make next year and I seem to be unable to avoid temptation when I’m tired 🤣
