📚 Band 3 von #ASecondGoodbyeToYou hat mir gut gefallen. 😊

Shinohara tut mir etwas leid, weil er immer sterben muss, wenn ihm was auffällt ... mal sehen, ob Hinata dagegen langfristig etwas tun kann.
Die Vergangenheit von Sora ist hart mit der Kindes -Verwarlosung, fühlt sich im Kontext von Genre und Medium aber sehr klassisch an. Trotzdem bedrückend erzählt. 🙁

Eine Sache, die mir bei dem #Manga immer wieder durch den Kopf geht: #Tokyopop hat es explizit als "kein Boys Love" gelabelt und das stimmt. Allerdings ist die Beziehung von Sora und Hinata schon arg innig. Wenn Sora ein Mädchen wäre wie in #Erased würde niemand romantische Gefühle anzweifeln. 🧐

📚 #ASecondGoodbyeToYou kommt in Band 2 zügig voran.

Soras Verhalten ist creepy, aber irgendwie auch schrullig. Ich weiß auch nicht. Bei ein paar Momenten dachte ich mir, macht es sich Hinata schwerer als nötig.
Ich bin aber immer noch neugierig auf die Auflösung, wieso gewisse Dinge passiert sind, wie sie passiert sind.
Mal sehen, ob der letzte Band das alles rund abschließen kann. 😊

📚 #ASecondGoodbyeToYou ist mir als "das ist kein Boyslove" in Erinnerung geblieben und ich fand's ein bisschen zu lustig, dass das "die Promo" für den #Manga war, dass ich neugierig wurde.

Es ist ein Thriller und die Idee, dass die Hauptfigur in die Vergangenheit reist, um ein Verbrechen zu verhindern, dass vielleicht passiv auch das eigene Leben beeinflusst hat, ist vertraut.
Ändert nichts daran, dass ich gespannt über die Auflösung des Falls um Soras Tod bin. 😊

This manga was a hard read. It starts so soft and serene then it just goes places.

Hinata, a web designer, is called by his old art group school-friends to tell him his friend Sora is dead. They meet at the funeral house, and from there, things get hinky.

There are so many twists and turns through this four-volume manga. The exploration of relationships, the ignorance of mental health, the obsession with elitism, and the beauty of innocence all collide to create an epic whodunit of gore, of multiverse-like time-lines, and tear-jerking moments.

I'm not sure if I liked it or not. The pacing is weird, the queer coding is front and centre, but I fell in love with the characters and all theirs flaws, and when the story ended, I thought about it for hours.
