I'm enjoying all the descriptive text NASA posted with all the Artemis II images.
As well as the alternative text folks on Mastodon are adding to Artemis II images they share.
NASA Image and Video Library, serving up consolidated imagery and videos in one searchable location. Users can download content in multiple sizes and resolutions and see the metadata associated with images, including EXIF/camera data on many images.
i was suspicious of the artemis.cdnspace.ca mission tracker adding 5-10 features per day. the entire project had some serious LLM smell to it. i asked the maintainer about an AI disclosure statement, and got no response.
so i decided to look at the source tree, and of course, there's a Claude.md front and centre.
i really, truly, hate that we're at a place where (a) every project now has to be checked for code diarrhea before use, and (b) maintainers won't transparently acknowledge what was used to generate the code.
yup, the #USA fucking sucks
that dampers enthusiasm for #Artemis #Artemis2 #ArtemisII
i say:
be happy for #JeremyHansen, first Canadian in deep #space
and his mission patch was designed by #Anishaabe artist #HenryGuimond, referencing the Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers
"Hansen asked Guimond to design a personal patch for his flight suit after participating in a vision quest at Turtle Lodge Centre of Excellence"
