Some of the most interesting examples of #AugmentedReality that I've seen have been in #art. We explore one such #AR Art Exhibition in the #StoryToGo #ExtendedReality case study on Seeing The Invisible.

This exhibit demonstrated the thought provoking magic that a curated location based AR walk can created, but also the importance of user testing in ensuring the best possible experience.

Mural Arts Philadelphia debuts its first augmented reality mural, ‘Dreams, Diaspora, and Destiny'

Mural Arts Philadelphia introduces the city's first augmented-reality mural, Dreams, Diaspora, and Destiny, allowing viewers to experience a large-scale painting through a smartphone app. The mural comes to life with holograms and a changing soundtrack, offering a unique art experience. Unfortunately, the app is only available for iOS users. The project aims to inspire students to envision the future of West Philadelphia and brings together public and private high school students. Mural Arts Month celebrates the project and features other interactive art installations and events.

During the showcase last Friday, artists shared their insights on the potential of working in both virtual and physical galleries simultaneously. We also presented our Piksel Cyber Salons from the past four years, starting in 2020.
One exhibition that caught attention was "COPY and PASTE," curated by Antonio Roberts, featuring sculptures by Matthew Plummer-Fernandez & Julien Deswaef, Shiv Integer, and Lovid.

App Store

I went to an art show today and the artist, Cesar Peralta, had an AR element added to his work. When you focused your phone on the painting, using an app called Artivive.

He designed the animations to go with the paintings in After Effects.

It could be seen as gimmicky, but the animations were done well.
