Just watched “A Private Life,” a French thriller starring Jodie Foster whose French - to my English ear, anyway - seemed impeccable. More importantly, her acting, as usual, was outstanding. I’m surprised she didn’t receive an Academy award nomination for this role. The plot was complex and clever, and even surprisingly humorous. Highly recommend!
I didn't see it coming, but I love the rapport between her and (ex-husband) Gaby. It's so perfect, so perfectly familiar like they would be. And Daniel Auteuil is great. Parfait
I aspire to be a rabat-joie one day. 😜
