Reflecting fondly on a fantastic #AMS40Radar conference in Minneapolis, just a few miles from where I grew up. My heart is full knowing so many people I know came away with positive memories of the Twin Cities area.
#MSP is still one of my favorite airports in which to kill time. #AMS40Radar
Not directed at any presenters in particular, but apropos for the end of #AMS40radar! My hat is off to chairs @[email protected] and @[email protected] for your endurance! Congratulations to all the award winners. See you at #AMS41Radar in 2025! Cartoon credit: PhDcomics.com

Hybrid conference format:

Pros: Greater access, flexibility in presentation format, automatic captioning, ability to screen capture slides instead of taking pictures of the screen for memory aids.

Cons: Zoom hiccups and unmuted microphones repeatedly interrupting presentations are a real buzz kill.

It was my honor to serve on this #AMS40Radar panel, “Utilizing Emerging Radar Technologies to Achieve New Scientific Discoveries”, with (L to R): Drs. Brenda Dolan, @[email protected], @[email protected] & Ulrike Romatschke!
#AMS40Radar attendees: if you have the desire and the means, Bad Weather Brewing is a 20-minute drive across the river in St. Paul!

The #AMS40Radar conference hall evidently has a tell-tale heart under the floor.

That’s impressive, because it’s on the 4th floor.

Conference chairs pointed out that it’s been 6 years since the last domestic Radar conference. During that time, the community has lost some prominent members. (This list is limited to people who served on the AMS Radar STAC.) #AMS40Radar
It’s finally happening! #AMS40Radar
The building next door is quite entertaining. #AMS40Radar
