Companiesโ applications for plans to conduct seismic blasting go to the regulator NOPSEMA for approval, and then to the administrator NOPTA to be granted an SPA permit.
This action is about safeguarding critical marine #habitats, preserving #biodiversity, and protecting the livelihoods of #communities that depend on healthy oceans.

PLASTIC POLLUTION
We all know that plastic is directly killing our #wildlife. But did you know that itโs polluting our #atmosphere too?
New research commissioned by #AMCS and #WWFAustralia finally reveals the hidden climate cost of #Australia โs plastics addiction, and the results are shocking.
In 2020, Australiaโs plastics use produced more than 16 million metric tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Thatโs equivalent to 5.7 million cars on the road every year.
