f*cking b*tch clubflooding the zone happens at the local level too. We have a city council meeting tonight. People are coming to make comments about A) 5 community fridges were removed (no reason given that I know of), B) a dangerous intersection made more dangerous for no good reason, and C) a city admin has been asked to “cooperate” with county law enforcement. One person says that this would be a workaround from city police working with ICE, but also not stopping them!
update about that meeting:
c) I didn’t stick around to hear the explanation, but the resolution is vaguely worded. 2 people spoke up about it, expressing grave concerns
b) 7 people showed up to talk about the dangerous intersection!
a) a person who uses the fridges a lot spoke about the manner in which the fridges were removed (no notice given), and how that affects people’s lives.
My community has lots of activists, people show up for meetings—it’s heartening.
