Last week, the #ALLIANCEEU partners gathered in the beautiful town of Ivanjica for a productive consortium meeting. Over two days, we reviewed project progress, shared insights, and mapped out the next steps as we enter the final phase of the project.

A preview of the #ALLIANCEEU blockchain web application is now available. The application enables retrieval of immutable traceability data for any specified lot number, recording each stage of the supply chainโfrom primary production through processing and distributionโon a secure blockchain ledger. Initial demonstration uses PGI Extra Virgin Olive Oil; expansion to additional supply chains is forthcoming.
The project was presented through a poster and a panel discussion, with
the provided abstract as follows: "Providing a Holistic Framework for
Improving Integrity, Traceability, and Transparency in the Food Supply
Chain with Quality Label โ ALLIANCEโ.
