How did the AI Cyber Challenge go from skepticism to success?
Start with AIxCC Part 1 – From Skepticism to Success and hear how #AIxCC reshaped thinking around AI + cybersecurity.
Part 1 kicks off a 4-episode series: https://openssf.org/podcast/2026/02/09/whats-in-the-soss-podcast-51-s3e3-aixcc-part-1-from-skepticism-to-success-the-ai-cyber-challenge-aixcc-with-andrew-carney/
The interactive repo visualizer we made for exploring the scale & detail of #AIxCC challenges just went live on the archive site: https://archive.aicyberchallenge.com/repoviz/
AFAIK, this is the only way currently to see some of the details (like actual code diffs) of the vulnerabilities added for competitors to find.
This was an interesting challenge to design because we wanted it to be visually engaging & interactive, technically honest, and appeal to both security newcomers and experts.
If you find this sort of thing interesting, pass it on!
W00t! The #aixcc stage talks recently dropped: https://aicyberchallenge.com/def-con-33/
I was on the "The Challenge with Designing the Challenging Challenges" panel. Many thanks to my colleagues and fellow panelists!
Really fantastic #HackerHangout with #ShellPhish talking about their cyber-reasoning system (CRS) for #AIxCC
