Just completed setting up my first #Allstar node, using a #Raspberry Pi 4, a #Quansheng UV-K5, and a so-called #AIOC.
The #Iranian revolution 1978-1979 was initially, 1977, student protests opposing Pahlavi, the ruling elite following a #USA and #UK instigated #coup to support Anglo-Iranian #Oil Company (#AIOC, now #BritishPetroleum #BP) to continue to #defraud the government of #Iran.
Which led to the revolution which led to many negative outcomes and sequelæ.

With 2 #AIOC and my simplexor script with the pass-through instead, you can have a decent handy-talky repeater system with 2 radios, 2 USB cables, (2 AIOC already mentioned), and a computer.
Works best with the auto-ptt/vptt active
There's a little-used "pass-through" option in my script that basically makes it a "real-time #repeater controller" with callsign announcement morse or speech, DTMF controls, etc

I ordered a couple of #AIOC (all in one cables) and I'm hoping to improve my bash repeater script by using the combo sound/programming/ptt cable. My hope is that I can add in >activate PTT< code as an option for people who have this cable. Then you can have a rough-and-ready simplex-repeater that uses PTT instead of relying on vox
Speaking of things I've been meaning to post about #HamRadio: Does anyone know of any software that lets you pipe your computer's microphone out to a radio input through, for example, a #digirig? I don't mean remote control software for a radio (Though I also want that, I have a whole series of toots on the old account about that), I mean software specifically for operating devices like the digirig or #aioc
