i'm also just exhausted by this constant lying, bullshittery, hundreds of billions of $/€ set on fire, the data-center craze, and dealing with corporate fuckwits way above my pay grade who insist we all "learn AI" when it will help us do exactly fuck-all better and faster.
Yeah sure if you sit in from of a PC all day doing MS Office drudgery, it will help you build that stuff faster (but not always better). For writing technical documentation or doing detailed drawings and illustrations, no it will not help me at all.
It can’t deliver live customer-facing machinery training that I also do about 75% of the time. KI-Chatbots sind aus dem Alltag von Jugendlichen nicht mehr wegzudenken. 94 Prozent der Elf- bis 17-Jährigen in Österreich nutzen Tools wie ChatGPT, so eine aktuelle Befragung von Saferinternet.at anlässlich des Safer Internet Day am Dienstag. Bei schulischen, aber auch zunehmend bei persönlichen Themen sind sie häufig erste Anlaufstelle. Dabei gibt es aber auch große Wissenslücken und zu wenig Risikobewusstsein. So vertraut etwa die Hälfte der Befragten darauf, dass die Tools korrekte Antworten liefern.
Mozilla rudert zurück (haben sie tatsächlich auf die community gehört diesmal?) und baut einen "AI kill switch" in Firefox (ab Version 148) ein.
Endlich, aber zu spät und es wäre besser gewesen, sie hätten das von Anfang an so gehabt.
