Apparently, 8 Million Users' AI conversation data were sold for Profit by "Privacy" Extensions.

Moral of the Story: Don't install an extension from the Chrome Web Store just because it has the "Featured" Badge. Verify if the extension is actually private and secure to use before installing and using it.

This talk will discuss the role of hyperparameters in optimization methods for model selection (currently often called ML) from a philosophy of science point of view. Special consideration is given to the question of whether there can be principled ways to fix hyperparameters in a maximally agnostic setting.

I recently tried out the Sesame (.com) demo and was blown away by its quest for “voice presence” using emotional cues and conversational context. However, while the synthesized voice is impressively human-like, it only works from a text transcript of my voice, overlooking the real emotional nuances of speech. What if AI could truly listen?
