...and then you discovered it was all that noise from the turbines supplying power to the #AI data centres.

#AIhype #AIscam #AIbubble #AI #aibullshit

I am told on Bsky that I'm just not paying attention to the space and that there are serious people working on the security risks. I glance down at my phone and see a May 7th article about Claude's Chrome extension leaking private Google Docs. *bites you bites you bites you* #AIBullshit
This shit is not gonna touch my code, and saying "it works" over and over is not gonna make me reconsider when you fuckers can't go more than 2 weeks without introducing major security vulnerabilities to your vibe-coded bullshit software. You have lost your minds. #AIBullshit
I've boycotted Itunes, Microsoft Windows, Steam, Nestle, and the fucking meat industry, your little "AI is inevitable" speech is at best cute. I am far more stubborn and far more passive aggressive than you are. I am a fox I will pee on your rug and maintain eye contact the entire time. #AIBullshit
"Well you'd better get used seeing LLM usage in all of your software-" If you're using anything I've coded, I will make you a promise right now that no code that I've written was assisted by an LLM, and that I do not allow AI contributions to any code that I write. #AIBullshit
You are not required to get used to shit. They've only been pushing this for 4 years, and the programmers only started en-mass cooking their brains with this bullshit 6 months ago. *bites you bites you bites you bites you* #AIBullshit
No LLM will touch my code. "Ah but what if it shows up in the Linux kernel, you see it's inevitable, and-" I'm also vegan. Did you know that some apples at big-brand stores have beetle wax on them, unlabeled, and that this still doesn't obligate me to eat your fucking hamburger? #AIBullshit
I've spent the last 2 years building a career in a community that is ferociously anti-AI, in part specifically so I can tell every "this is inevitable" SV-pilled tech fucker to go away and leave me alone. My phone still has a headphone jack. I'm more stubborn than they are. #AIBullshit
I'm an "old" (mid-30s) bitch of a fox who turned off autocomplete in every IDE and switched to Emacs almost a decade ago because the little pop-up animation for the suggestion boxes annoyed me. I don't work in the software industry anymore and they can't force me to use anything. #AIBullshit
But I don't take it as a *guarantee*. Prompt injection is easy, and more importantly, it scales. It is an attack that gets much more successful just from throwing more compute at the attack. So far, that's not really happening, but there is nothing to prevent it from happening.
