Well that’s the Loki done. An 11% black kveik triple IPA from Tartarus brewery.

Day 23 of #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar is pinning me to the sofa for NYE. Very tasty despite its strength, mind. And far too drinkable tbh

Possibly day 20? Not sure, forgot to take a photo as it emerged from the #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar

It’s the Drekker Brewing Co with a F*ck Cancer Double Fruit Smooth Sour.

More prickly pear, guava & sea salt. It’s very sweet, and it’s gloopy like a smoothie. Feels like a few of my 5-a-day

Possibly day 22 of #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar - ashamed to say I’m not quite sure.

It’s one of the oddest things I’ve tasted - both sweet & tart, clove-y and sugary. Very strange.

It’s Sonic Painting from Wild Mind Ales described as a “smoothie style sour with mango, red prickly pear, pink guava, marshmallow, vanilla and milk sugar”. It’s weird. I _think_ I like it but not sure. It’s like chewing an alcoholic sweet from a 10-pence mixup

Well it’s a bit after breakfast but I’m calling this late lunch coffee digestif - I think this was day 4 that I skipped from the #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar - Oatmeal Coffee Stout from Three Hills Brewing. It wasn’t so much the 7% abv that put me off as the caffeine tbh. Anyway, it’s very good though reckon it could do with getting towards room temperature to bring out the flavours.

I was away from home over Christmas so didn’t get to open the last couple of windows of my #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar but I’m back now and I’ve done it.

Saving these two beauties for NYE, and I’ll be wearing the socks tomorrow!

Day 21. #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar is Père Noël, a Belgian Christmas ale from De Ranke brewery. Got a lovely spicy taste, reminiscent of cloves & maybe banana. Lovely drop

19th day of #BeerAdventCalendar from #AHoppyPlace is this American Pale Ale, King Street from Wild Weather, another #Berkshire brewery.

It’s very nice - drinkable and light. Nothing special but a perfectly enjoyable #fdotd

Day 18. #fdotd “Born to be a box salesman” from Berkshire-based Double-Barrelled Brewery. A very tasty #AmericanBrownAle at 4.8%. Not as sweet as I feared but with notes of burnt toffee & caramel. Highly drinkable, would buy again 8/10

Took me until the second sip to get the orangey undertones but they are there in this chocolate stout from Siren, which is #beer 17 from the #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar

At 10% abv I’m reluctant to recommend a Cointreau chaser but it definitely would work!

Gloriously sour, cherry imperial gose at 8% is day 16 of #AHoppyPlace #BeerAdventCalendar

From Estonia, #Pohjala brewery. I reckon it’d be a superb food match but I’m not sure what to!
