Every now and then I’ll read something so good that I feel like a hack in comparison. Currently, that book is Demiurge: The Complete Cthulhu Mythos Tales of Michael Shea. I hope one day to write even ten percent as well. These are cosmic horror, but they are so damned FUN while also being incredibly empathetic for the outsiders of San Francisco. Survival sex workers, elderly and unhoused people, folks with addictions. These are the heroes who battle elder gods and deep ones.
