16-Feb : An actor that inspired a quest (watching other works)?

I started quests with my very 1st kDrama, so I have many ongoing.

The most successful quest that started in 2024 is Lee Seung Gi. I first saw him in "A Korean Odyssey," then went on to "Vagabond," "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho," and "King 2 Hearts."

I wasn't crazy about Gumiho, but he was great in the rest.

Not only is he a great actor, but he sings (he's done some of his dramas' OST songs), he's a philanthropist & he has led efforts to make the South Korean entertainment industry better and safer for actors & idols.

15-Feb : Most beautiful location?

For this year's dramas:

"Queen of Tears" has some of the most beautiful sets - the home, the department store, the small town, the aquarium, but the location shots in Germany were gorgeous - not only the buildings & monuments, but the field of flowers.

As for gorgeous locations within S. Korea, I think "Love Next Door" did a great job - the temple, the neighborhoods, the onggi pots all provided beautiful backdrops.

09-Feb : Most obvious / incongruent / inexplicable product placement & did you buy the product?

"My Demon" - that super bright vitamin drink that showed up at the office - okay, I get that.

BUT - she's drinking the bright blue drink in her gorgeous white wedding dress!!! What if she spills? Made me so nervous!

I did not buy it, but you can.

I did buy a Samsung phone after seeing one in "Forecasting Love & Weather" (I'm pretty sure that the 1st place I saw the folding phone).

I did also buy the under-eye gel things that were in "Business Proposal." Don't know if they work, but they feel nice.

Day 5/Feb 2: A drama you dropped & then picked up and enjoyed

#Kdrama Live (2018). I didn't drop it but put it on hold early on for a long time. It was an interesting enough police drama, and I wanted to see actor Lee Kwang Soo in a serious role. It seemed slow developing at the beginning as the characters and settings were introduced. I'm glad I finally picked it back up and finished it, it's now a favorite.

Day 8/Feb 5: Most memorable child actor (under 13)

For 2024, #Jdrama House Of Ninjas, actor Banka Tenta as Tawara Riku, now aged 12 IRL.

His character is the protected youngest fourth child and third son in the Tawara family of seven including my favorite grandma (plus mom, dad, third sister). Throughout the series he curiously and slowly learns his family's hidden past.

There are so many good child actors in Asian dramas. #kdrama #cdrama

Day 7/Feb 4: Most memorable sidekick (2024)

Qing Yan, Third Prince General Jing He's subordinate, #Cdrama Kill Me Love Me. A general, brave, fearless, smart, unwavering, loyal to the end. Later scene in the enemy's camp was very memorable.

Honorable mention.
Wen Ji and Lu Ji, Duke Xiao Heng's loyal subordinates, #Cdrama The Double. They're like brothers, funny at times, serious when need be yet more relaxed than the Duke.

All five skilled in jianxia.
