This exclusion, and especially its flimsy justification, are a disgrace to a scene that calls itself anarchist.
I have completely lost interest in the book fair – even though I had actually been really looking forward to it.

I feel ashamed of this part of the anarchist scene in #Berlin.
But that's not everyone.

A great show and an important topic. I find the local and international perspectives particularly enriching. I myself was in prison for a while and precisely because I am familiar with the situation in prisons, I experience it as painful not to be able to change anything structurally.
When friends and comrades suddenly find themselves behind bars, I experience it particularly painfully today, as a former left-winger.
Sometimes I feel exhausted, but the (care) work must also be done.
Practical solidarity is essential: writing letters, visits, demonstrations and talking again and again about what is going on behind the thick prison walls.
A little advertising at the end: on October 26th there will be live broadcast here from Freiburg (south west of Germany), in connection with the A-Radio Days.

ABC Belarus marks 15 years’ anniversary during WOSWAP – support their struggle
✊🏽 ABC Belarus is an antirepression collective operating for over 15 years inside Belarusian dictatorship and in exile after the 2020 protests.
Currently, they support over 30 anarchist and antifascist prisoners in Belarusian jails and their families.
On 24 August, Warsaw hosted the celebration of their long-term struggle.
🚀 It was an amazing event with anarchist market, exhibition about the uprising in 2020, the situation in women prison colonies, talks and discussion, awesome buffet, concert and a lot more.

We are launching a media campaign in support of #Belarusiananarchists in prison. Solidarity is not just words, it's actions that change lives! 🖤
As anarchists, we fight for a just and equal society free from state violence. In 2020, we went to protests with the message "Solidarity is our weapon " and for us, it's not just a slogan. Our collective has repeatedly witnessed that solidarity is a force that can break down walls of repression and injustice, helping us to survive even in the most brutal conditions.
As anti-fascist Kristina Cherenkova put it, describing her experience in prison, "Despite the administration's attempts to eradicate any solidarity, we remained one small family."
In anticipation of ABC Belarus' Birthday, we are launching the "Solidarity Breaks The Walls " campaign! Over the next few weeks, we'll be talking about solidarity and sharing ways you can support Belarusian anarchists in prison.
