After PG&E was convicted of felony reckless arson and 84 felony counts of manslaughter in the 2018 #CampFIre, the company funded a lawsuit that suppressed the details of its crimes.
After a two year legal battle that was appealed all the way to the California Supreme Court, we finally obtained the 5,000+ page transcript of the grand jury investigation of PG&E.
This story reveals what the grand jury found: including evidence and testimony from PG&E's own employees under oath.

This story revealed Gov. Gavin Newsom's office hired PG&E's longtime law firm to draft legislation that shielded the company from the financial consequences of its crimes in the deadly 2018 #CampFire-- and insured it against future fires.
