@marcan
I do disagree since #AppleSilicon-based #Macs don't have a seperate #Flash for the #Apple-#EFI & #BridngeOS so when the #Flash dies they are a braindead brick and since Apple went #ThinkDifferent they chose to use #SolderedDown, #proprietary Flash ICs so one can neither obtain these nor reflash them without access to Apple's proprietary tools that not even #AASP|s can get their hands on legally.

Apple's soldered-in SSDs are engineered in the worst way possible

I want #toolfree #swappable and fully removeable #batteries...

Whilst I dislike the fact that my @Fairphone #FP3plus battery was bulging into a #DangerPillow, being able to tool-free remove it and just get a replacement from #iFixit for less than the cost of labout to get it done by an #AASP on an #iPhone is a godsend.

Personally I want my devices repairable and yes, #Apple designs them to get slower and to be not repairable ON PURPOSE!

Thanks to #HughJeffreys for showing the #Enshittifcation of #Tech through #PlannedObsolescence aka. #ReducedLifecycle in a #TechIlliterate-friendly way. We need to radicalize the #Consoomers and #Normies so they refuse to buy trash tech! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYhRPiVPA3c

@Natanox AFAIK they do lock down their tooling even for #AASP's and #AppleStore|s these days, so if they deployed that they'll likely require some authentification shit and stuff and can remotely brick it like some #DevKit...

That being said OFC the risk is that said tooling is not being deployed outside of any Apple R&D, which would not surprise me at all...

Given Apple's trend to shove reduced lifecycle into the faces of their buyers, that's more than realistic.
