Dr. MayaAAC (augmentative and alternative communication) can feel difficult and overwhelming but if the guidelines for planning, use and monitoring are followed properly it can be pretty easy to teach and use. #AACSLP #SchoolSLP

Language learners speaking Indian languages - local people understand if they mix up forms. But some Indian languages also have cases like in German and Latin so one can really mess up if the forms are not learned properly. I wonder if the younger Koreans are challenging the status quo in their society and how that would play out for #AAC users. Even with English speakers here I get push back for adding age level “slang” to their kids’ devices. #AACSLP #SchoolSLP

Yes. Formal levels exist in so many languages but I rarely find myself thinking about them because English dominates so much!! Good thing you brought it up! I will be thinking about this as I go back to school and start working with my #AAC users again. #AACSLP #SchoolSLP
