This post is less about the episode, but a continuation of my posts in the 80s TV community, about how much I love Data and he’s one of the best characters on TNG. This particular episode is so amazing, with him narrating his day, and all the situations he as to navigate as a sentient android. I believe also, at least as far as I’ve noticed so far, it might be the first glimpse into his love for cats. I just think his character is so wonderful. What’s also wild to me is, here in the late 80s and early 90s, we had a character whose whole story line is basically teaching people that it’s okay to not be neurotypical. It’s okay to be different. In short, Data is great.
