It’s always interesting hearing my younger friends who didn’t really experience the 1990s and early 2000s react to media of the era. I can’t imagine being a kid today.

There was still more mainstream queer phobic and sexist humor that didn’t age well but things did feel more optimistic and headed in a good direction.

Even being an environmentalist was still considered cool so we had kids shows like Captain Planet and Bill Nye the Science Guy.

@gborn Letztendlich ist es der Traum, dass Computer so reagieren wie in StarTrek:
"Computer, ..."
So gesehen sind die LLM, die menschliche, gesprochene Sprache in Computerbefehle "übersetzen" kann doch schon ziemlich gut. Auch wenn es natürlich beschränkt ist, was die Qualität angeht. Und nein, eine LLM kann nicht denken.

DIe Situation aus StarTrek4 ist bekannt? Wo sich Scotty vor den Rechner setzt und in die Maus "Computer?" spricht? Irgendwann... kann das auch so sein.
