Within the past three weeks this beautiful #8bar gravelbike went from a bunch of seperate components to a proper gravelbike, from Berlin to northern Italy and back.

With the help of a friend who loves pottering around too, I managed to assemble it in a diy workshop and went on my first little bikepacking trip immediately. There wasn‘t even time for a proper test run (which I wouldn‘t recommend, but I didn’t have a choice).

I‘m so proud and thankful that everything worked out.. building the bicycle up in Berlin, traveling to Italy by train, joining a friend I met while cycling to Istanbul last year, cycling to the ocean on my own, accidentally meeting kind people at Venice and spontaneously returning to Berlin with them.

Also, some new followers joined on the way. Welcome to you all, I’m happy to share my journeys with you 🛠️💖

Back to Berlin I didn‘t feel like going back home by train so I decided to cycle instead. Seemed like a decent way of ending my first bikepacking holiday with my new #8bar gravel bicycle to me :)

My new 8bar gravelbike is very comfortable and running smoothly 🚲

I’m glad I cycled from Bolzano to Lake Garda, and then further south-eastwards to the Adriatic Sea 🗺️ It’s rainy but 20 degrees Celsius and truck drivers kept a lot of distance yesterday when I cycled at nightfall 🌧️✨🚛

Trying to inhale as much pine smell as possible before heading back to Germany by train next weekend 🌊🌾🪾🌲
