El 4 de julio de 1981, Microsoft compró los derechos del sistema operativo 86-DOS (también conocido como QDOS) a Seattle Computer Products por $50,000 usd.

Este sistema operativo, creado por Tim Paterson (quien buscaba emular el CPM/M a los procesadores 8086), fue adaptado y renombrado como MS-DOS por Microsoft, y posteriormente licenciado a IBM como PC-DOS para su uso en la IBM PC.

@drewdevault I wrote https://github.com/dheadshot/libqdinp2 which behaves a bit like the MS-DOS input scheme (it was based on the idea of the 86-DOS templating system), but I wouldn't rate it as highly as all those other libraries mentioned... #MSDOS #86DOS #QDOS
