Well, well, well. We went to a random house show last night not recognizing any of the bands on the flyer. Ended up watching a band called No Fraud who easily surpassed my low expectations by playing really good classic #80shardcore/thrash. They were all older except for the bass player. Turns out they’re an original 80s hc band that never broke up—from Venice, #Florida of all places. The bass player died so there’s this young kid playing for them now.

After moving all around the country, I feel that I can safely say there’s a band like this in every region. In New Orleans it was Disappointed Parents. Both No Fraud and DP still cite the #MRR reviews they got back in the day. The singer from DP told me more than once with obvious pride that Tim Yo referred to their first 7” as “a minor classic.” 😂 #punk #hardcore #LocalScene

I remembered I had this bc I saw that there’s a Mecht Mensch anthology coming out. I actually never listen to this record and would sell, trade or give it away to anyone interested in the US. It’s a bootleg of tape demos so… that’s how it sounds. Like a degraded old tape ripped to vinyl.
