Habt ihr Erfahrung mit Access Points im Außeneinsatz? Ich will dieses Jahr ein paar APs außen aufhängen und suche gerade passende Geräte.
Das sollte einen aktuellen Standard (802.11 ax?) beherrschen, Dualband besitzen und wetterfest (IP65?, direkte Sonneneinstrahlung) sein.
Bisher in der Auswahl sind
- UniFi U6 Mesh
- TP-Link EAP610-Outdoor
Halten die Außeneinsatz aus? Habt ihr Alternativen?

@[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] well, I've not encountered problems with #Ethernet. - OFC some folks will not understand that cheap #Realtek, #Mediatek, #Aquantia & #ASIX-NICs don't do #PacketFiltering and -Sorting in hardware thus never saturating the physical link width and also causing excessive CPU load compared to some #Intel or #Mellanox NICs, but that's jist the nature of it. The biggest problems I had were garbage NICs from #Broadcom under #BSDs: These are just horrendously bad!

I'm stuck in my 6GHz WLAN antenna and controller search.
Do you have any reference which is capable to operate WLAN/Wi-Fi on the 6GHz band (Thus, really capable to operate Wi-Fi7 or Wi-Fi6E) and able to operate in a monitor mode?
Everything I found does not have a clear answer, thus, if I can save my time instead of buying all of them and test, it would be appreciated 😁

Okay, stupid question, but for those knowledgeable in #80211ax #WiFi6, is it - as ethernet is - #FullDuplex? ie: I have a #M1 MBP 13", and an #Eero6 with Wi-Fi 6. If I'm receiving a file, and choose to send a file at the same time over ethernet, neither slow down - cos full duplex. Is WiFi the same? Or does an upload appreciably slow a download?
