Upgraded FGH200M Wi-Fi HaLow module features Morse Micro MM8108 SoC, handles up to 8,191 IoT devices

Introduced at MWC 2026, Quectel FGH200M Wi-Fi HaLow module, based on Morse Micro MM8108 SoC, is an upgraded version of the previous MM6108-based FGH100M module designed for long-range, low-power IoT connectivity. It operates in the sub-1-GHz band (850–950 MHz), with a range of up to 1 km, and is designed for applications such as smart homes, industrial automation, smart agriculture, smart cities, building automation, warehouses, campuses, and large-area IoT networks. The module operates on 1/2/4/8 MHz channels, with a maximum physical data rate of 43.3 Mbps and a transmit power of 26 dBm, allowing a single access point to theoretically connect up to 8,191 IoT devices. It connects to the host through USB 2.0, SDIO 2.0, or SPI interfaces. The ultra-compact (11.0 × 10.0 × 2.0 mm) LGA package operates in industrial environments with a temperature range of –40°C to +85°C. Quectel FGH200M Specifications: SoC – Morse Micro MM8108 32-bit

I'm looking for a good #sdr for my meshnode. In addition to using Internet in a Box and ShareBoxx , I'm also wanting to run a #Meshtastic (?) BBS and a system for pulling weather satellite images, and #eas alerts. I'm trying to keep costs down, but I'm unsure what SDR would be best. For local deployment, there are 4 frequencies I need to monitor for EAS, and the satellite decoding can be scheduled.

The other issue is I have no idea how much machine is needed to run all this software at once. Could a single Pi4 work, or would I need more?

I'm still trying to work out which mesh tech to use. Meshtastic is limited, not allowing file transfers or voice while RNodes do. RNodes on the other hand is still pretty new. Also there's Ripple R2. I'm really hoping to use #80211ah in a way that it's compatible with atleast Meshtastic/RNode/Wifi standards.

I'm still looking into radio tech for my comms unit. I know I'd like to have #Meshtastic, but I definitely want to have #reticulumnetwork #rnode. But seeing as both use can run on 915MHz in the US, is it possible to run either or both through #80211ah #wifiHaLow ? Could a software based switch allow for them to run on the same device without adding multiple radios?
