13yo will be auditioning in April for a spot in next school year's Musical Theater class.

For her audition, she must choose & prep two contrasting songs from the Golden Age of musicals.

She has chosen:

"My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music &
"I Hate Men" from Kiss Me, Kate.

Yesterday she had her first coaching session with my dad, a retired opera singer.

This entire situation delights me beyond all reason. ☺️😍☺️🤩🤩🤩

Been spending septoplasty recovery rewatching Derry Girls for the millionth time. That show makes me so happy.

I'm also letting 13yo watch it with me and questioning my own parenting choices. But she's loving the whole thing, and the show triggers excellent conversation about teen troubles, so I don't have *too* many qualms. 😉😆😁
