I just signed this petition. Not quite a big fan of jazz - not quite an active listener, although I do like the sound of it (I mean, what's not to like about jazz, really). There is a piece of history that's threatened to be lost, however, and if that happens, it would be a sad moment for world culture. The #78rpmrecords are a part of the immaterial heritage of the world, and as discs wear out, saving them digitally is of utmost importance. Hope they succeed.

If you’re curious, it’s the closing theme from “The Shining” starring Jack Nicholson. Played at the end of the film when he appears in an old B&W photo.
