Toys in the Attic was released today (April 8) in 1975. Despite liking Aerosmith a lot and digging a lot of their songs, I can't really do full Aerosmith albums, there's always too many wonky songs on em. But Toys in the Attic has Walk This Way, Big Ten Inch Record, and Sweet Emotion. Those are three killer songs. And despite the dumb crap (that apparently is well loved?) at the beginning of Sweet Emotion before the song really starts, I maintain it's one of Aerosmith's best songs.

Missed the anniversary of this one the other day. On March 28 (in the USA) and March 30 (in the UK) in 1973, my favorite Led Zeppelin record, Houses of the Holy, was released. This is Zep's fifth record, and it flows so well as a whole piece. SO MANY epic tunes on this one, from Dancing Days to The Rain Song and No Quarter.
Today (December 14) in 1979 marks the 45th anniversary of the release of London Calling in the UK (the U.S. release date was January 1980). Still easily one of the greatest albums ever recorded, and I listen to it at least once every year - who am I kidding - multiple times every year.

Morning Album: Paul McCartney - MCCARTNEY
I know, you hate this album,.However, this is Paul's coming out party. After the lavish experimental productions that led to The Beatles demise. Paul sat down with a 4 track recorder and a bunch of acoustic instruments and launched the DIY revolution of music.
Decidedly LoFi, MCCARTNEY is best known for the classic BABY I'M AMAZED, a song that brings a tear to this day. Give it a listen.
