"Papa Leone è debole in materia di criminalita e pessimo in politica estera. Parla della "paura" dell'amministrazione Trump, ma non menziona la paura che la Chiesa cattolica, e tutte le altre organizzazioni cristiane, hanno provato durante il Covid quando arrestavano sacerdoti, pastori e chiunque altro per aver celebrato funzioni religiose, anche all'aperto e mantenendo una distanza di 3 o addirittura 6 metri. Mi piace molto di più suo fratello Louis che lui, perché è tutto MAGA. Lui capisce, e Leone no! Non voglio un Papa che pensi che sia ok che l'Iran abbia un'arma nucleare. Non voglio un Papa che pensi che sia terribile che l'America abbia attaccato il Venezuela, un Paese che inviava enormi quantità di droga negli Stati Uniti e, peggio ancora, svuotava le proprie prigioni, liberando assassini, spacciatori e omicidi, nel nostro Paese. E non voglio un Papa che critichi il Presidente degli Stati Uniti perché sto facendo esattamente ciò per cui sono stato eletto, con una vittoria schiacciante, ovvero portare i dati sulla criminalità ai minimi storici e creare il miglior mercato azionario della storia". Lo scrive su Truth il presidente Usa Donald Trump. "Purtroppo, la debolezza di Leone sulla criminalità e sulle armi nucleari non mi sta bene, né il fatto che incontri simpatizzanti di Obama come David Axelrod, un perdente della sinistra, che è uno di quelli che volevano che i fedeli e il clero fossero arrestati. Leone dovrebbe darsi una regolata come Papa, usare il buon senso, smettere di assecondare la sinistra radicale e concentrarsi sull'essere un grande Papa, non un politico. Questo gli sta facendo molto male e, cosa ancora più importante, sta danneggiando la Chiesa cattolica!", aggiunge Trump.
Non si è fatta attendere la replica dei vescovi americani: "Sono profondamente addolorato che il Presidente abbia scelto di scrivere parole così denigratorie nei confronti del Santo Padre. Papa Leone non è un suo rivale, né il Papa è un politico. È il Vicario di Cristo che parla a partire dalla verità del Vangelo e per la cura delle anime". Così l'arcivescovo Paul S. Coakley, presidente della Conferenza episcopale statunitense, in una nota, risponde al post sui social media in cui il presidente Usa, Donald Trump, attacca Papa Leone XIV.

Coakley, president of the Episcopal Conference of the United States, in a statement, responds to the post on social media in which US President Donald Trump attacks Pope Leo XIV.
