6M is open in North America.

Keep an eye out for double hop, and even an opening to ZL and VK a little later on. ZL and VK were reported in the north east yesterday around 23:00-00:00 UTC.

I successfully got on the local ham radio club's 6m net on Wednesday night. I hastily put up a portable whip in the attic just before the net to test whether a 6m antenna will work there... and it did! 🎉

(I had previously used the same whip once from the front yard to get on the same net, so I knew the antenna was functional.)

So now I have plans to add a more permanent, better tuned 6m antenna in the attic at some point and run more coax down to my office / shack. (More than the 0 coax I have run now.)

We're dancing with Florida this morning on #6m #ft8. I see some people woring Gyuana (8R1TM) and Suriname (PZ5RA), but I haven't seen them (yet) on the waterfall.
